The Grand Drive Surgery

SMS Text Messages and Email communications

We are now using Chain SMS and Email Communications to message patients.

It means we can be much more proactive about some communications, messaging you quickly and securely. Some examples of how we might use chain SMS include reminders or notifications (e.g. your prescription is ready) or letting you know we tried to call you. The Practice name will always be at the bottom of the message and you won’t be able to reply to them. Your mobile number has to be update as it only works with a mobile telephone number not a landline.

We have also updated our communication methods to now include emails for registered patients. Moving forward, if you have provided your email address to the surgery, we may use email for non-confidential correspondence such as information about signposting services, surveys, and practice updates. Be sure to check your inbox for important updates from Grand Drive Surgery. If you have not registered your email address with the surgery and would like to receive communications via email, please contact reception to update your record.
