The Grand Drive Surgery

Travel Clinic

Due to the pressures on the NHS and the availability of Vaccines, the travel clinic is suspended until further notice.  Priority will be given to patients with health issues with our Nurse.

Our Practice Nurses run a Travel Clinic on Thursday evenings for travel advice and vaccinations.  You must ensure you book your appointment for travel immunisations/advice no less than 8 weeks prior to the date of travel. If you are not able to provide sufficient notice, we will not be able to book an appointment for you. Please note we have a reduced travel clinic service in August due to staff shortages

Please obtain a travel form from reception or download here >>  Patient Form for Travel Vaccs (Microsoft Word) or Patient Form for Travel Vaccs (Adobe PDF)  and make sure you bring the completed form with you to your appointment. If you haven’t completed a form, please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment time to complete one in the Surgery. Please be aware we can’t guarantee you will be seen if you haven’t completed a form prior to seeing the Nurse.

Some immunisations require several doses to be effective, so you may require more than 6 weeks notice for them to become effective. The best advice is to allow as long as possible between making your appointment and your date of travel. Some immunisations are free and others incur a cost so please be prepared for this and bring either cash or a cheque with you to cover any potential payments (we’re sorry but we don’t accept debit or credit cards).
