Following a referral by a member of the GP practice, hospitals and community providers triage patients based on need. It is common for patients to have to wait up-to 2-4 weeks to hear something back from the provider.
If you would like to actively chase your referral, please initially contact the provider themselves. They maybe able to reassure you that the referral has been reached and also give you an idea of the current waiting lists.
